Conference Services, $180/wk plus room and board

JOB DESCRIPTION
                                                          SNOW MOUNTAIN RANCH

POSITION: CONFERENCE SERVICES PERSONNEL
EMPLOYEE CLASSIFICATION: Seasonal, Non-exempt
REPORTS TO: Conference Services Supervisor
 
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Assist in logistical functions of preparation, service and turnover of conference and family reunion business.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
1.       High school or GED equivalence.
2.       Read, write and speak English.
3.       Approval and ability to operate YMCA vehicles.
4.       Lift and carry up to 30 pounds from floor level.
5.       Clean meeting rooms, lobbies and public bathrooms.
6.       Use variety of chemicals and equipment for cleaning.
7.       Deliver and set-up refreshment orders, audio-visual equipment and other guest services in a timely manner.
8.       Deliver cribs, rollaway and towels to lodge rooms and cabins as requested by guests.
9.       Set-up, breakdown and service meeting rooms, including audio-visual equipment, tables, chairs, flip charts, podiums and refreshments.
10.   Possess outstanding public relations skills.
11.   Communicate group needs and concerns with Conference Office personnel.
12.   Maintain inventory and report repairs needed for all audiovisual equipment.
13.   Report meeting room maintenance needs to Conference and/or Maintenance Offices.
14.   Attend regular meetings scheduled by the department.
15.   Promote safe work practices and a safe environment for guests and staff.
16.   Reflect YMCA core values in all functions - caring, honesty, responsibility, respect & faith.
 
OTHER DUTIES/REQUIREMENTS:
1.       Maintain inventory of Conference Services supply closet.
2.       Be familiar with day/week/month conference activities.
3.       Other duties as assigned.
 
DRESS CODE:
In addition to the grooming standards outlined in the Seasonal Staff Handbook, the following applies to Conference Services while on duty:
 
A staff vest or three shirts with the YMCA of the Rockies logo will be issued to each seasonal employee from May to August and December to April. You will be required to wear this uniform while on duty. A neat and clean appearance is required at all times. Casual working attire is acceptable. Jeans must be in good condition. Shorts are not allowed. 
 
Necklaces are discouraged. Earrings are allowed on women only. No other visible body piercing is allowed on men or women. 
 
Employees are held accountable for all duties of this job.
