About our facilities:
When off the clock, our staff loves to utilize the facilities that the YMCA offers to all, such as the basketball court, volleyball court, roller skating rink, tennis courts, climbing wall, canoeing in the Reservoir, and in the winter, skiing, snow shoeing, and ice skating. There are even times where staff will travel off property to the beautiful Winter Park area for a day out shopping, roaming the streets of the resort, taking their bikes down the Resort's many bike trails, and ski/snowboard the slopes. Trips to the cities of Denver, Boulder, Silverton, and Vail happen fairly often as well, as life in the mountains leaves a longing for an afternoon in the midst of city events such as NFL and NHL games, concerts at the beautiful Red Rocks Amphitheater, holiday specials at various local restaurants, or even the shopping centers placed throughout the area. There are plenty of opportunities to enjoy time spent in the mountains, whether indoors or outdoors!
In accordance with our healthy spirit/mind/body mission and federal law, we have a zero tolerance policy for alcohol or drugs on property; in addition, no drug use is tolerated (including marijuana) during your employment with us whether on- or off-duty. We practice random testing for all staff and volunteers. We also test if thereís reasonable suspicion someone is using drugs or alcohol. If you want to use marijuana, donít apply to work for us.
You must be at least 18 to live and work at YMCA of the Rockies.
