Snow Mountain Ranch (SMR) property includes the Rowley Homestead and the Just Ranch. SMR operates a pioneer history settlement at Rowley Homestead. Following training a volunteer will plan, promote, lead and provide historical programs within the context of Grand County pioneer history. Volunteers will open and close the homestead, greet families and guests, assist Day Camp and CCO camp programs, and demonstrate the use of various farm artifacts. Light housekeeping and yard work will help ensure the authentic appearance of the sites. Must be able to spend up to 6 hours outdoors in various weather conditions and assist historian with various preservation projects. Responds to guests requests for information on any other historical sites in the vicinity of SMR.
Volunteers report to the Department Head or any other supervisor he/she designates. For any position a supervisor may assign other duties from time to time which are required to ensure efficient and timely completion of overall Snow Mountain Ranch goals. Teaming within and across departments is expected.
