Tutor

This position provides oversight, guidance, and support to school-aged students of company employees who are on-site and receiving distance education. 

Duties and Responsibilities: • Maintain a quiet and orderly workspace for students within the tutoring space. • Establish a friendly, encouraging, and welcoming environment for students. • Monitor students’ use of technology and counsel if the student is not productively using their available time. • Manage check-in and check-out procedures and ensure students are not attending for more than the established maximum hours per day. • Notify parents should the student need additional attention, including not feeling well, not using their time appropriately, or being a disruption to other students or staff. • Provide academic support for students who need assistance with school work. • Support students with accessing their respective learning portal and logging in to technology. • Perform other duties as needed or assigned. 

Specifications: • Excellent interpersonal skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Demonstrated ability to provide instruction with a calm demeanor and friendly disposition. • Strong problem solving skills. • Ability to coordinate multiple activities and prioritize workload. • Skill in analyzing and interpreting information. • Strong problem-solving proficiency. • Ability to think logically, methodically, accurately as well as creatively. • Strong computer and general technology skills.

Minimum Qualifications: • High School Diploma or GED. • Continued employment status will be contingent upon completion of a satisfactory state and federal criminal background check Preferred Qualifications: One year experience providing tutoring or similar instruction to others.
