JOB STATEMENT/PURPOSE:
This position will primarily be responsible for supporting the Facility Sales Department. This will also involve interacting and working in a collaborative team with other departments, primarily Facility Maintenance and Accounting. Additional support will be provided to the Development and Cultural Tourism Marketing Departments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the administrative support of facility rentals and promotion, customer service and vendor liaison.
- Assist in the creation of social media content for distribution through various social media platforms, including the website.
- Assisting in the completion of required paperwork including filing, initiating paperwork, assisting in the creation of files.
- Research projects as directed.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- 1-3 years relevant experience in customer service, facility sales, event planning, business development, , marketing, advertising, communications, social media promotion.
- High School Diploma required.
- Additional courses or training in customer service, marketing, tourism, facility sales and event planning a plus.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Proficiency in Quickbook, Adobe Acrobat a plus.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of Alaskan Native culture, customs and languages preferred.
- Knowledge of the event planning and tourism business in Alaska, including large and small tour operators, industry organizations, and influential publications a plus.
- Have basic understanding of ANHC’s mission, direction, and history or be willing to receive training.
