Reports to: Stable Superintendent
The fundamental classification for this job is for maintenance and repair or alterations to the stable area structures. Assignments involve numerous trades and skills, such as rough and finished carpentry, plumbing, roofing, painting and concrete/masonry. Work is performed independently or in teams and incumbents are responsible for determining appropriate work methods, tools and materials for most assignments. Work involves occasionally serving under a crew leader and or over other building maintenance workers for special projects. Schedule is 5 days a week. Specific days of the week may vary. Willing to train candidates with appropriate aptitude.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Being able to work around and with other people. Being able to work around and with horses. Skilled in multiple trades of maintenance, repair, and restoration. Able to work in a variety of conditions. Knowledge and awareness of safety when working with tools and with other equipment.
Work Environment, Communication & Physical Abilities:
Work will be conducted in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the outdoor elements. Communication will be face-to-face, one-on-one, in group settings or using a telephone with customers, clients, or the public. Physical abilities include, but are not limited to:

A variety of equipment and tools in the following areas: electrical, plumbing, carpenter, construction, HVAC, and general office.
