Accounting Manager

Job Summary:
The Accounting Manager supports the efficient operations of multiple companies through a wide range of administrative and accounting functions. This will primarily consist of accounts payable and accounts receivable oversight, employee relations, payroll processing, and financial and other information analysis.
Responsible to: Controller
Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties Include, not limited to:
- Performs all accounts receivable functions including:
- Timely and accurate entry of daily sales activities
- Timely collections of all outstanding accounts
- Processing of payments received and preparation of deposits
- Audit checks and reconciliations to ensure accuracy of information entered.
- Performs all accounts payable functions including:
- Timely and accurate entry of vendor invoices and payment processes
- Maintain electronic accounts payable files
- Coordination with aircraft parts personnel to ensure accurate accounting of parts received/used
- Audit checks and reconciliations to ensure accuracy of information entered.
- Performs accurate and timely payroll processing and all associated activities including:
- Processing payroll to ensure employees are paid accurately per agreements and time-keeping system
- Ensure timely payments of all associated costs like taxes and benefits
- Prepare and submit required tax and benefit paperwork
- Verifies accuracy of data processed
- Reconciles general ledger accounts including preparing period and year end reconciliations
- Prepares required regulatory reports like DOT and processes required payments like excise and sales taxes in a timely and accurate manner
- Provides backup to and assists Controller in accomplishing responsibilities
- Provides input on design and implementation of systems and generates information for report preparation and data analysis
- Provides administrative support and services to all aspects of the company’s operations
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements
- Associates degree in accounting, finance or related field. Three years work experience, with progressing responsibilities, in an accounting or financial position may be substituted for education.
- Payroll experience preferred.
Physical Demands:
- This position is primarily office based
- Intermittent physical activity including bending, reaching, and prolonged periods of sitting;
