Office Manager

Denali Park and Healy are approximately 100 miles south of Fairbanks and 250 miles north of Anchorage. This remote location requires more prior planning, organizational skills, and the ability to improvise and "make do" than for the office manager in an urban location.

Typical duties of the office manager:

  • Supervise and schedule office staff.
  • Perform as necessary all duties of regular office staff.
  • Assure that guests' experience with Nenana Raft Adventures is positive.
  • Keep accurate records of vouchers. Prepare billings to cruise companies and travel agents.
  • Responsible for payroll accounting and issuance of paychecks.
  • Learn filing system and file receipts.
  • Pick up and sort mail.
  • Keep track of office supplies and coordinate office needs with person who does the Anchorage shopping.
  • Track of retail inventory.
  • Treat all guests with courtesy, remembering whose vacation it is.
  • Maintain friendly, positive attitude towards guests and coworkers.
  • Be a team player. Display good judgment. Be dependable, punctual, willing to abide by Nenana Raft’s criteria for employment.
  • Cooperate with coworkers with respect to maintenance of common facilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
