Events Positions

Banquet Bartender

Responsible for preparing and serving drinks to event guests. Must be able to mix and match ingredients in order to create drinks in accordance with guests needs and expectations. The purpose of this position is to interact with the event guests and ensure they have a great experience. 

Ideal position for those wanting to pick up some additional work as we can provide your approximate schedule for June, July, August and September upon hiring. 

As this is a part time position it does not qualify for employee housing. Car pooling possibilities available from Vail.

Responsibilities
Interact professionally with guests whilst preparing and serving drinks to guests’ specifications
in a timely manner.


Check identification of the guests to make sure they meet age requirements for consumption of
alcohol.

Mix drinks, cocktails and other bar beverages as ordered and in compliance with standard drink
recipes.

Service wine and beer to guests.

Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays.

Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations.

Serve customers in a friendly and helpful manner.

Determine when a customer has had too much alcohol and if required refusing any further
service in a polite and professional way.

Ensure bar area is clean, tidy and properly stocked for the duration of the event.

Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of food and beverage products.

Clean up after guests and thoroughly clean work area at event conclusion.

Maintain a clean working area by sweeping, wiping counters, cleaning of glasses and trash
removal.

Perform physical activities such as lifting up to 50lbs, stooping, walking and standing for
extended periods of time.

Solely responsible for liquor inventory and consumption for each event worked.

Handle an assigned house bank and follow all cash handling procedures as per Ranch standards.

Prepare inventory as needed to replenish supplies.

Diligently monitor event orders 7 – 10 days prior and alert the General Manager of any items
that need to be ordered.

Ensure that the assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing
beverages and serving guests.

Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.

Comply with all food and beverage regulations.

Break down bar after event and ensure all liquor is accounted for and returned to its secure
location.

Assist with set up and break down of event space if required.

Perform other duties as and when assigned by management.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Must adhere to all grooming and appearance standards consistently.

Comfortable working in a fast paced environment.

Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent GED

2+ years of bartending experience

Experience with stock and inventory control

Food Handlers Card

TIPS Certified

CPR Certified – desired but not required

This position does not qualify for housing unless you have a primary day job with another department on the ranch.
