Job Summary:  Oversees the daily operations of the ticket and snowsports sales offices.

 

Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:

 

  • Ensure all guests and staff are treated courteously, safely, and efficiently.
  • Supervise day to day operations and up to 10 employees in the Ticket/Snowsports Sales Department.
  • Determine work priorities, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow.
  • Maintain harmony among workers and resolve grievances.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure effective and efficient operations are in place.
  • Assist in the implementation of season pass events, and attends events as needed.
  • Assist set-up and monitor point of sale (POS) system used for ticket sales.
  • Troubleshoot ticket seller problems and address customer complaints.
  • Assist in training ticket/snowsports sales office staff on daily ticket/snowsports sales office operations and using RTP.
  • Assist other cashiers in performing ticket selling duties including day ticket, season pass, and locker sales.
  • Assure that daily cash sales reports are completed accurately.
  • Assist with group ticketing and billing.
  • Manage seasonal ski check and daily locker inventory.
  • Manage processing of lost and found items and assist guests in looking for and locating items in lost and found.
  • Serve as point of contact for leadership team in absence of the Retail & Tickets Manager.
  • Shovel out entrances to Main Lodge and in front of ticket office when it snows.
  • Maintain employee work schedules including assignments, job rotation, training, vacations and paid time off, cover for absenteeism, and overtime scheduling.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with other managers, directors, general manager, and other designated contacts within the organization.
  • Maintain and enhance a team-oriented culture with all departments and demonstrate a collaborative attitude.
  • Perform all duties of ticket/snowsports sales cashier at all locations.
  • Assist subordinates and other departments in performing duties whenever necessary.

Required:

  • Ability to perform all types of ticket and pass sales
  • Strong accounting skills
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a high volume, distracting environment
  • Ability to manage a large volume of cash accurately, honestly, and safely
  • 10 key calculator skills
  • Ability to effectively present information to management

 

 

Experience/ Education

Required:

  • Previous personnel management experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

 

 

Preferred

  • Experience with RTP point of sale software
  • Knowledge of the ski industry

Must be capable of occasionally lifting, pushing or pulling 40 lbs or greater.   Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.
