Job Title:   Ticket Cashier

                      

Reports to: Retail & Tickets Manager                                                                              Wage: $8.75-9.50

Exempt/Non-Exempt: Non-Exempt                                                                                 Status: Full/Part Time Seasonal

                                                                                                                                               

Job Summary:  Assists guests purchasing tickets and passes.

 

Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:

 

  • Ensure customer satisfaction with efficient, friendly service.
  • Answer all customer questions about tickets and passes, as well as provide information about other ski area services and events.
  • Be knowledgeable about all ticket and pass products and specials.
  • Accurately ring up customer purchases, receive money via cash and credit card, and give change using a PC point-of-sales system.
  • Process daily Liftopia ticket and season pass sales orders.
  • Check-in schools and groups by distributing ticket, lesson, and rental products to individual participants, as well as complete group sales transactions while accurately logging in Customer Manager.
  • Assist in Bag Check and securely store guests personal items and gear.
  • Stock ticket windows and keep office clean.
  • Accurately count till to prepare drop at end of shift and close out sale location.
  • Effectively communicate with other employees and departments, both in person and via telephone/two-way radio
  • Shovel snow in front of ticket office, main lodge entrances, season locker room, and other places as needed.
  • Process and log lost and found and assist guests in looking for and locating items.

Required:

 

  • Strong interpersonal skills enabling effective communication with guests, co-workers, supervisors, and managers.
  • Ability to work varied schedule including weekends/holidays.

 

Experience/Education:

 

Preferred:

 

  • Prior experience working with the public.
  • Cash handling experience.
  • Knowledge of the ski industry.

The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms.  The employee is occasionally required to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
