Job Title: Banquet Staff

Reports to: Sales & Banquets Manager Wage: DOE+ tips

Exempt/Non-Exempt: Non-Exempt Status: Part Time Seasonal

Job Summary: Serve plated and buffet meals as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests of various events at the Red Lodge Mountain Golf Course.

Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:

· Ensure customers and employees are treated courteously, safely, and efficiently.

· Set-up the Clubhouse for weddings, meetings, dinners, tournaments, and other events. This includes formal table settings along with some audio/visual set-up.

· Breakdown and clean up after all events.

· Take orders, serve food and beverages, and ring up bills for banquet patrons.

· Serve cocktails, wine, and beer.

· Serve plated and buffet meals and clear dishes away from tables.

· Accurately ring up customer purchases, receive money, and give change using a point of sale system.

· Process credit card transactions and accurately enter tip amounts.

· Stock and clean wait staff area.

· Wipe down tables and chairs and vacuum/mop floors daily.

· Must commit to 50% of booked events for season (beginning May 1st of each year) upon hire.

Required:

· Strong interpersonal skills enabling effective communication with guests, co-workers, supervisors, and managers

· Ability to work a varied schedule including weekends/holidays

Experience/Education:

Required:

· Experience in the food service industry

· State of Montana Responsible Alcohol Sales and Service Training Program certificate

Preferred:

· Experience in banquet service

· Bartending experience

· Prior experience working with the public

· Cash handling experience

· Knowledge of the golf industry

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk and hear. Employees must be capable of standing and or walking 90% of a normal 8 hour work shift. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to lift and move up to 50+ lbs.
