Job Title: Information Technology Tech - Winter Season

Reports to: Information Technology Manager Wage: DOE

Exempt/Non-Exempt: Non-Exempt

Job Summary: Provide general computer and network maintenance and support relating to users, software, and network devices. Provide preliminary trouble-shooting and problem-solving in the absence of the IT manager.

Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:

Maintain an adequate level of knowledge of network, operating system and application software being used to provide support to users.
Install workstations and printers as requested ensuring proper function and connection to the network.
Resolve issues with user computers, printers, network connections, phones, and other electronics as needed including devices in remote locations around the mountain.
Monitor status of network and network servers and facilitate resolution of issues as needed.
Provide status reports, including input and suggestions, to IT Manager
Maintain strong working relationships with department heads and front line users
Suggest training ideas for users based upon interaction while resolving user issues.
Learn/Help administer POS System.
Assist as needed with ski resort logistics work including shoveling snow

Required:

Working understanding of LAN / WAN / WLAN networking structure.
Ability to trouble-shoot and resolve basic issues with Microsoft Windows based LAN, WAN, workstations, printers, and other peripherals.
Ability to self-supervise and self-motivate.
Strong user support and communication skills.
1 year experience in computer related field, preferably with user support.

Preferred:

Basic understanding of phone systems.
Knowledge of the ski industry.
Ability to ski or snowboard.

This position also requires the ability to maintain equipment at mid-mountain and other locations around the mountain that may only be accessible by skiing or snowboarding.
