Job Title: Clubhouse Manager
Reports to: Assistant GM Wage: DOE
Exempt/Non-Exempt: Exempt Status: Full Time Seasonal (April 15-Oct 15)
Job Summary: Manages the operation of the Red Lodge Mountain golf course in general and assure the course and facilities are ready for use on a day-to-day basis.
Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:
- Ensure that customers and employees are treated courteously, safely, and efficiently
- Work with the Retail Manager to ensure the golf shop is properly stocked and clean
- Ensure a proper and timely opening and closing of the golf shop and clubhouse daily
- Maintain proficient knowledge of the operational use of all points-of-sale, customer databases, and tee-time scheduling tools
- Conduct daily golf course and clubhouse business, including managing cash and using of points-of-sale, customer databases, and tee-time scheduling (repetitive)
- Supervise practice range and golf cart operations
- Work in cooperation with the food and beverage team to stock and sell food and beverage items for all golf operations and special events
- Work in cooperation with the sales and event team to sell, organize, and execute tournaments, events, and programs
- Aid the marketing team in generating content and photos for use on social media and the website
- Work with Human Resources to interview, hire, train, and appraise the performance of employees
- Provide supervision and guidance to employees in accordance with RLM policies and State/Federal employment laws
- Maintain employee work schedules including assignments, job rotation, training, vacations and paid time off, cover for absenteeism, and overtime scheduling
- Provide effective performance feedback through employee recognition, rewards, reviews, and disciplinary action, with the assistance of Human Resources when necessary
- Manage financial objectives by adhering to a departmental budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; and initiating corrective actions
- Plan, evaluate, and improve the efficiency of department processes and procedures
- Manage the preparation and maintenance of reports necessary to carry out the functions of the department. Prepare periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested, to track strategic goal accomplishment
- Delegate department representation at committees such as sustainability, safety, and customer service
- Communicate regularly and effectively with other managers, directors, general manager, and other designated contacts within the organization
- Assist subordinates and other departments in performing duties whenever necessary

- Safety orientated and able to train employees on safety procedures of equipment used
- Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- General knowledge of various employment laws and practices and employee relations
- Evidence of the ability to practice a high level of confidentiality
- Available to work holidays and/or weekends
- Maintain a valid Driver’s License
Experience/ Education
Required:
- 1-3 years experience in a golf course setting
- Experience managing staff
Preferred:
- Experience in organizing and promoting tournaments
- Experience in conducting group and individual clinics
