Job Title:   Locker/Gear Check Attendant

                      

Reports to: Retail & Tickets Manager                                                       Wage: DOE

Exempt/Non-Exempt: Non-Exempt                                                          Status: Full/Part Time Seasonal

                                                                                                                                      

 

Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:

 

• Assure all guests and staff are treated courteously, safely, and efficiently.
• Receive guests’ clothing-filled container/skis/personal belongings, furnish claim check, and return items upon receipt of claim check.
• Securely and safely store guests’ personal items and gear.
• Accurately ring up customer purchases, receive money via cash and credit card, and give change using a PC point-of-sales system.
• Answer customer questions about other ski area services and events.
• Stock and clean work area. Keep work area orderly and clean during the day.
• Accurately count till to prepare drop at end of shift and close out sale location.
• Effectively communicate with other employees and departments, both in person and via telephone/IM.
• Shovel snow in front of main lodge entrances, gear check locations, and other places as needed.
• Assist guests in looking for and locating lost and found items.
• Assist with other departments or perform other cashier duties as required.

Required:

 

• Strong interpersonal skills enabling effective communication with guests, co-workers, supervisors, and managers.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to work varied schedule including weekends/holidays.

 

Experience/Education:

 

Preferred:

 

• Prior experience working with the public.
• Cash handling experience.
• Knowledge of the ski industry.

The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms.  The employee is occasionally required to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
