Position Description


Title: Maintenance

Department: Adventure Kart LLC

Reports to: Maintenance Manager


Job Summary


The primary responsibility of this position will be to provide preventive and as needed maintenance to Tom Cars at Whipple Creek. Responsibility also encompasses maintenance to any other company vehicles. Duties will range from light maintenance (tires, oil, spark plugs etc.) to heavy work (welding, rebuilding engines, transmissions, finals, etc.).  The Maintenance position will also provide basic maintenance needs to the Base Camp buildings & facilities, including electrical work. 


Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Monitor tour site for any potential danger to guests or staff
  • Supervise or help coordinate response to any emergencies
  • Maintain and complete daily maintenance logs
  • Assist with daily setup and shutdown of facilities
  • Provide preventative and needed maintenance to all Tom Cars on a daily basis
  • Assure that all parts, inventory and equipment, are available and sufficient for daily operations
  • Ability to assist Kart Adventure staff as needed
  • Ability to guide visitors in a professional, courteous, and informative manner as needed
  • Perform other various duties assigned.


Minimum Requirements

  • Certificates of training in mechanical and engine related fields from accredited school or university
  • Must be organized, willing to work outdoors and / or in potentially stressful situations.
  • Experience with welding and small engines is a plus but not required
  • Ability to meet guests needs in a helpful and courteous manner
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items (70 lbs) unassisted
  • Ability to be dexterous enough to get in and out of karts without assistance
  • Ability to work around the noise of a pressure washer and/or kart engines
  • Ability to maneuver karts on rocky terrain and work outside in any weather condition
  • Ability to work extra shifts upon request
