Facilities and Grounds Maintenance Technician
Looking for an experienced Facilities and Grounds Maintenance Technician at Taquan Air in Ketchikan Alaska. Applicant will be responsible for maintaining facilities, hangers, rental and lease properties maintenance, snow removal, maintaining aviation fuel system maintenance, dock maintenance, aircraft support equipment maintenance, grounds maintenance and grounds appearance. Point of hire is Ketchikan Alaska, Salmon Capital of the World!
Required work experience and expectations: Applicant must have at least three years’ experience in facilities repair, construction or equipment maintenance. Skills required include plumbing, carpentry, basic electrical and all other aspects of building maintenance and general grounds keeping. Additional work experience, such as welding, metal fabrication, metal pipe threading/fitting and the ability to work heavy equipment are a plus.
Position Requirements: Applicant must have strong work ethics to include, working as a team member and/or team lead and capable of working unsupervised. Applicant must have an outstanding customer service attitude and professional attitude. Applicant is required to maintain a valid state driver’s license and must be insurable. Applicant must have adequate transportation. Applicant will be required to be on call and must be able to work afterhours emergencies. Applicant must be in excellent physical condition, capable of lifting more than 50 pounds, working at heights, working in tight places and working long hours when required. Applicant must be capable of passing drug screening and background checks. Applicant must be able to work around children.
